Hotel La Cisterna, San Gimignano

My stay at the hotel was simply wonderful. The rooms were modern and updated, boasting a large bathroom and a massive shared terrace with a view of the stunning Tuscan countryside. However, don't expect anything very modern. The service was absolutely fantastic, from arranging transfers from the Firenze train station to helping with a malfunctioning safety deposit box. The location was unbeatable, right in the heart of San Gimignano, allowing for easy exploration of the charming town. As for dining, the breakfast was nice with a variety of options, though there seemed to be some issues with upkeep. Overall, a great value for the price paid.

Staying at this hotel was like opening a box of chocolates with a view of the glorious Tuscan hills. The rooms seemed to have undergone a recent renovation and mine had its own spacious balcony with an AMAZINGly beautiful view. The service, from the multi-generational family business to the friendly and helpful staff, was impeccable. The location was perfect, right in the center of the old town, offering a peaceful setting despite being close to all the vibrant activities. The dining experience in the lovely restaurant with Tuscany views was truly the best of my trip.
